Finding social dance parties is something that local dancers don’t even think about because their dance friends will keep them posted but beginners entering the scene for the first time and visitors from abroad definitely struggle with. Therefore I decided to put together a blog post to help you find the best Latin American social dance parties in Tallinn.
I’ve been in the dance community since 2016 and the information about parties has almost always been on Facebook – pretty much every social will have a Facebook event. This is where most of the links will take you.
Bachata
Many bachata events in Tallinn are organised by Bachata Studio Tallinn, which is of the most active bachata centers at the moment. Keep an eye on their events for the biggest parties in Tallinn.
Casa de Baile studio is organising Blue Bachata Monday parties every week in their studio, which attract some of the best dancers in the city, as well as bigger parties from time to time. They also play bachata at their summer outdoor parties.
Salsa
There are weekly Wednesday salsa parties in Casa de Baile at the moment, called Shiny Salsa Wednesdays, dedicated fully to salsa dancers. At their weekly Friday practice parties, there’s always a salsa room as well. In summer Casa de Baile arranges outdoor salsa parties, these usually have a super nice vibe and they play music for other styles as well.
Kizomba
I’m a bit out of touch with the kizomba/urban-kiz community at the moment since I don’t dance kizomba anymore, but I know that the main studio for these styles now in Tallinn is Havanamoderna. Check out their Facebook page for events – they have organised weekly practice parties on Thursdays. Also sheck out the Urban Kiz Estonia group for urban kiz and Kizomba Parties in Estonia page for more information. In summer the kizomba community arranges socials on the beach as well.
Brazilian Zouk
There are now weekly zouk practice parties in Tallinn. Every Wednesday, Bachata Studio organises Wednesday Dance Practice parties and every other week they play zouk music in one of the rooms. Alternatingly, every other Monday, there’s a Zouk Night event in Casa de Baile where you can dance and practice Brazilian zouk.
Other than that, bigger parties happen during workshop weekends when lots of people are in town to take classes. (If you have never seen brazilian zouk before, I have an introductory blog post with a video playlist of best zouk demos, it’s one my favourite dance styles!)
Argentinian Tango
I don’t dance tango myself but this scene seems to be pretty active in Tallinn. Bachata Studio Tallinn gives tango classes, but for more information check Tango Argentino @ Estonia group.
West Coast Swing
There is a Facebook Group called West Coast Swing Tallinn where you can find out the most up to date information. At Casa de Baile they just announced a West Coast Swing beginners class as well. WCS hasn’t really taken off the ground in Tallinn over the years despite efforts, but it’s great to see at least some initiative from time to time.
Other Styles
From what I know there are no forró or samba de gafieira parties at the moment, not even official classes for it (I personally learned abroad). At the end of 2024 I created a Samba de Gafieira Estonia Facebook Group to hopefully get things going with this beautiful dance style as well.

The local dance scene is constantly changing and I will do my best to keep this article updated. If it’s not, you’re welcome to reach out to me on my social media to ask anything about the dance scene in Tallinn. Again, all the information about parties will most likely be on Facebook, so definitely look there.
